Background

I was born in Tehran to Russian/Armenian and Portuguese parents, both of whom are classical pianists and well known in the cultural milieu. I was raised in Portugal, studied in France and the US, lived in London and Paris, and worked in the UK, France and Portugal.

I have worked across many areas of the arts – classical and contemporary music, visual arts, digital media, architecture and literature. As an independent arts consultant I have been involved with projects in China, Italy, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Russia as well as the UK and the US. I am currently living in London with a base in Paris. This broad range of experience gives my work a truly international perspective.

Strengths and successes

I am genuinely multilingual, equally at home in English, French and Portuguese. My mother tongue is Russian and I am comfortable working in Italian, German and Spanish.

I was raised in a creative environment which makes me perfectly at ease in the company of artists. I have also worked in political, diplomatic, press and administrative contexts, all of which gives me a good awareness of wider professional practices.

I have worked for a number of high profile arts organisations including the Rachmaninoff Foundation, the Gulbenkian Foundation and Harrison/Parrott. I have also worked at governmental level with the French Embassy in Lisbon and the Scottish Executive in the UK.

Finally – and most importantly – I get things done. All the projects described on this site came to fruition. In fact seeing things through – from concept to completion – is my greatest strength and greatest pleasure. In the end, the best measure of my success is the satisfaction of my clients.
