Mandarina - International Arts Consultancy

I am an international arts consultant. I work with cultural organisations, artists, governments, foundations, festivals and charitable trusts around the world. My work falls into two categories – creating and delivering innovative high profile cultural projects, and working with clients to add value to their programmes by helping them develop, manage and implement their strategies and projects.

I have developed a keen practical awareness of how to structure a project in terms of co-ordination, strategy, organisation, protocol, press and promotion. I also have a strong sense of how to make a project succeed artistically, in terms of its creative process and audience development.

I enjoy making connections between people, ideas, places and audiences. I like to get under the skin of a project and make it come to life. In practice this might mean developing an original work for a particular audience, attracting a new audience to an existing work, or re-contextualising ideas to present an existing work in a new light. I actively cross-fertilise ideas and create collaborations between individuals and groups to generate insight and excitement. In short, I like to make things happen!

My range of experience and extensive international contacts means I am able to make connections that enrich any project on which I work. In each case, my aim is to give people more than they asked for through my personal commitment and creative response. That’s what excites me, that’s what I am good at.
